Clarkson University Hockey alumnus Cody Rosen '13 played a leading role as Canada won the Gold Medal at the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel this past weekend. Rosen was Canada's starting goaltender and helped to backstop the team to a perfect 5-0 record.
Starting three games, the Kingston, Ontario native posted a .968 save percentage and a .75 goals against average.
In the Gold-Medal Game, Rosen posted 19 saves in the 7-1 victory over the United States on July 26.
In the tournament opener, Rosen stood tall in net stopping 31 of 32 shots as Canada defeated Ukraine 7-1, earning 2nd Star of the game honors.
Rosen turned away all but one of the 43 shots he faced in the 6-1 victory over USA in the last game of the seeding round and once again earned the 2nd Star.
Rosen played in 12 games for the Golden Knights from 2009-13. He graduated in May with a degree in entrepreneurship and business management, with a minor in project management.
