POTSDAM -- Freshman Kurt Knolle (East Aurora, NY) of the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday for his performance in this past weekend's contests.
Knolle, a midfielder, shared the honor of conference newcomer of the week for the second time in a row.
He scored three points over the weekend, assisting on the game-winner and scoring the opening goal against RIT. Though he has taken just four shots all season, he has made the most of those attempts, scoring three times.
He ranks fourth in the conference in goals (3) and is third in the league in points (8).
His shot percentage (.750) leads the league by a wide margin, with the second place competitor trailing by nearly .600 percentage points.
