A goal in each half was too much for the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team as the Golden Knights fell to visiting Hobart 2-0 on Saturday afternoon on Hantz Turf Field.

Clarkson falls to 4-9-2 overall and 1-5-1 in the Liberty League while Hobart is now 11-2-2 overall and 4-1-2 in conference.

Hobart got on the board late in the first half. Mouhamed Diouf pounced on an errant Clarkson pass and then chipped his shot over an onrushing Clarkson goalkeeper to open the scoring.

The Statesmen added an insurance goal in the 74th minute. Nick Dosky scored off a rebound to ensure that Hobart came away winners.

Hobart had a 14-4 advantage in shots and took 12 corners to Clarkson's two. Riley McDonald made three saves for Clarkson while Tyler Serafine had two stops for Hobart.

Clarkson will play host to neighboring SUNY Potsdam in a 7:00 pm game on Tuesday night.
