The Clarkson University Hockey team will look to build upon a win over a nationally-ranked team in its final non-league game of the season as it begins the second-half slate of the ECAC Hockey campaign next week. The Golden Knights, guided by fifth-year head coach Casey Jones and assistants Phil Roy '00 and Josh Hauge, will play three games in a five-game stretch beginning with a rare mid-week battle against archrival St. Lawrence University. The Knights will host the Saints at Cheel Arena on Tuesday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the 201st meeting between the North Country foes. Clarkson follows that game with a weekend series in New England, playing at Dartmouth and Harvard on January 15-16.

The Green and Gold were busy over the holidays away from Potsdam, playing four games in seven days against Top-15 ranked programs. Clarkson skated against UMass-Lowell (loss 3-0) and Penn State (loss 5-1) at the Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh, PA on December 28-29, and then continued the road trip in central Ohio to start the New Year with a two-game series at Bowling Green. The Knights lost the first meeting 6-3 on January 2, but came back on January 3 to gain its first win since November 28 with a 3-2 victory over the 12th-ranked Falcons.

Clarkson stands at 8-9-2 overall and will be looking for its first win in conference play, holding a 0-5-2 ECAC Hockey mark as second half league action begins.

• The Golden Knights hold an overwhelming 121-68-11 series lead against the Saints, which began with a 1-0 Clarkson victory during the 1925-26 campaign. The Saints, however, have gone 3-1-1 in the past five games and have dealt the Green and Gold a pair of shutout losses during that stretch. The Knights are 5-3-1 over the last 10 meetings with St. Lawrence and 24-19-4 against their archrival in games played during the 2000s. Clarkson is 21-8-2 against its North Country neighbor at Cheel.
