Andy Jones, who spent the past four years as an assistant coach for the Clarkson University Hockey team is leaving the Golden Knights' program to join the UMass-Lowell hockey staff as an assistant coach.
"I want to thank Andy for all his hard work and commitment to Clarkson, and wish him the best," said head coach Casey Jones.
"Spending the last four years as assistant hockey coach at Clarkson has been an honor and a pleasure," remarked Andy Jones. "The community went above and beyond to welcome both my wife and I. I would like to thank the hockey staff as I have enjoyed working with each and every member. Most importantly, it has been a privilege to work with the Golden Knight players. They have put Clarkson Hockey in a great position moving forward. It is difficult to part ways with such an outstanding community, but I am looking forward to this new opportunity at UMass-Lowell."
A national search for Jones's replacement at Clarkson will begin immediately.
