There was plenty of offensive entertainment at Cheel Arena on Friday night as Clarkson University equaled its season high for goals, but also allowed a season-high in a 6-6 tie with Harvard before a crowd of 3,047.

The Golden Knights, who saw their win streak end at 14 games, still have not lost in almost three months, going 14-0-1 since October 28. Ranked second in the polls, Clarkson stands at 18-3-2 overall and remains in first place in ECAC Hockey with a 10-0-1 league mark.

Clarkson, which opened a four-game home stand, rallied from a 5-3 deficit early in the third period to score the next three goals to take a 6-5 lead with under six minutes to play. Harvard (8-6-4, 7-3-3), however, had one last goal left and tied the game with an extra-attacker score by Lewis Zerter-Gossage, who found a loose puck that squirted out from a scrum in front with 59 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Knights, who had a couple of excellent opportunities to win it in overtime, held a 2-1 shot margin in the five-minute extra session, but could not convert.

Freshman Jack Jacome (Caledon, ONT) led the Knights offensively with two goals and one assist. Rookie linemate Josh Dickinson (Georgetown, ONT) tallied a goal and two assists.

Tied 3-3 after two periods, Harvard took the only two-goal lead of the game with a pair of scores early in the final frame. Frederic Gregoire tallied at 1:39, followed by Jake Horton's goal at 6:15 to put the visitors up 5-3.

The Knights, however, stormed back with three unanswered scores to hold a 6-5 lead at 14:29.

Jacome started the rally with his second of the night and fifth of the season at 8:21 with senior defenseman Terrance Amorosa (Kirkland, QUE) and Dickinson assisting. Senior defenseman Tyko Karjalainen (Helsinki, Finland) connected off a pass from Quince on a blast from the blueline at 9:03 to tie the game with his first goal of the season. Quince gave the Green and Gold the lead with his third of the year, firing in a one-timer from the slot off a pass from junior defenseman Aaron Thow (Toronto, ONT) at 14:29. Senior assistant captain Brett Gervais (Corona, CA) also assisted.

The Knights, who scored 55 seconds into their win at Union last week, took a little longer at Cheel Arena on Friday night against Harvard, but not by much. Jacome started the scoring in the 12-goal game when he took a pass from Amorosa, skated down the right boards, slipped through a defenseman and flipped in a shot 59 seconds after the opening faceoff. Senior defenseman Kelly Summers (Golden Lake, ONT) also assisted.

Harvard grabbed a 2-1 lead early in the second after a goal by Michael Floodstrand at 4:28 of the first and a power-play marker from Ryan Donato at 2:55 of the middle stanza.

Sophomore Haralds Egle (Liepaja, Latvia) scored on a sharp angle shot from along the goal line at 12:13. Linemates Dickinson and Jacome set up Egle's second goal of the season.

The two ECAC Hockey powerhouses traded goals in a span of 15-seconds to make it 3-3 entering the third period.

Zerter-Gossage scored his first of the game at 14:38 to briefly put the Crimson in front 3-2. Dickinson answered back at 14:53 for his 11th goal of his rookie campaign. Egle notched the assist.

Harvard outshot the Knights 37-30. The Crimson were 1-of-4 on the power play as they extended their unbeaten stretch to seven games (4-0-3). Clarkson was 0-of-2 on the man-advantage.

The six goals the Knights allowed was more than the combined total of the previous six games (5 goals).

Sophomore Jake Kielly (Eden Prairie, MN) posted 31 saves, including a point-blank stop on a Crimson shot with one second remaining in overtime.

Michael Lackey, who came on in relief of Merrick Madsen after Clarkson's fifth goal, recorded the tie for Harvard, making four saves through the final 15 minutes.
