Lake Placid, NY - Junior Caroline Bonin of the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team finished 32nd in the giant slalom at the USCSA Nationals on Tuesday afternoon at Whiteface Mountain.
Bonin, who is competing as an individual at the USCSA Nationals after qualifying at the USCSA Eastern Regionals the last weekend of February, ended up in 32nd place among the 110 participants in the giant slalom, 90 of which completed both runs, with a time of 2:27.55.
Bonin was in 32nd place among the 99 finishers after the first run and then took 33rd out of the 90 who were able to complete the second trip down Whiteface. Her first run took 1:11.23, while the second saw 1:16.32 elapse.
Bonin will participate in the slalom on Thursday. Last season, she finished 52nd among 97 skiers in the giant slalom at the USCSA Nationals, held in Oregon.
