Presque Isle, ME – Sophomore Antanasia Chambers tallied a game-high 17 points as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team played stifling defense to hold host Maine Presque Isle to 40 points in a 53-40 road win on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Chambers led all players with 17 points, six assists and five steals, while adding eight rebounds. Breanna Cullers chipped in a season-high 15 points, while Autumn Watkins added six points and nine rebounds.
The Roos jumped out to a 14-8 halftime lead but after a strong second quarter from the Owls were tied at 21 at intermission.
Canton controlled the game after halftime outscoring UMPI 32-19 including holding the Owls to just five points in the third quarter.
The Roos held the upper hand in points off turnover (17-9), points in the paint (28-18) and fast break points (14-2).
Rhylee Wright was the lone player in double figures for the Owls with 12 points and 16 rebounds.
