First-year Isaac Brinkman won his first two collegiate races in the Saints season-opening meet in the Augsbury Pool, but St. Lawrence fell to Skidmore 129-72 on Friday afternoon.
Calin Arnold also posted an individual win as well as a second-place finish against the Thoroughbreds, while Robert Burke was second in two events.
Brinkman began his collegiate swimming career with a win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.75 and followed with a win in the 100 freestyle, finishing in 51.69 in front of Arnold who clocked in at 53.67. Shortly after, Arnold took the 50 freestyle for St. Lawrence in 24.02.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Burke was narrowly edged by Skidmore's Kinser Bonner by just .6 seconds. Bonner won the event in 58.27, while Burke clocked in at 58.87.
Jack Quinn also recorded points for the Saints with a second-place finish, posting a time of 11:09.21 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
The Saints will travel to Clarkson for a 1 p.m. meet on Saturday afternoon.
