The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team was defeated by Vassar College on Saturday afternoon, 9-0, in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Brewers, ranked #11 in the Northeast Region, improved to 8-6, while the Saints fell to 1-9 on the season.

First-year student Thomas Luchars and sophomore Matt Burke both battled with their opponents at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, but would fall in the third set super tiebreaker. Burke teamed up with first-year student Alan Shortz at No. 2 doubles to post a solid effort in an 8-6 loss to Kartik Kapoor and John Kessler.

The Saints will take on regionally ranked #14 NYU on March 30 in Geneva, NY.
