Captain Amanda Boulier joined the 100-point club with an assist on St. Lawrence's second goal, as the Saints women's hockey team scored a goal in each period en route to a 3-0 shutout win over Brown on Senior Day at Appleton Arena in the regular season finale. With the win, the Saints finish as the No. 6 seed in the ECAC Hockey postseason and will travel to Princeton for a quarterfinal best of three series next weekend.

With the loss, Brown finishes the season with an overall record pf 3-23-3 and a 1-18-3 record in conference.

"Even with the early lead, it took us a while to gain momentum with so many penalties in the first and second period, but I thought we really started to control the possession midway through" Head Coach Chris Wells said. "Landry made some phenomenal saves for Brown on redirections in front to keep it close."

First year Justine Reyes got her first of two goals on the afternoon to put the Saints on the board at the 5:02 mark of the opening frame when she redirected a slapshot from junior defenseman Kirsten Padalis at the edge of the right circle to beat netminder Julianne Landry five hole for the eventual game winner.

Following the first goal, the Saints were assessed three consecutive penalties which kept them on the kill for much of the remainder of the period, but they still carried the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Just over six minutes into the second, Boulier set up Reyes' second goal of the day in the middle frame on a feed from behind the red line that beat Landry short side to push the Saints lead to 2-0.

The final goal of the afternoon was scored by junior Kennedy Marchment as she Hannah Miller and Brooke Webster entered the Brown zone on a 3-on-2 rush. Marchment elected to keep the puck and put a shot on Landry, who made the initial save, but the Courtice, Ont. native followed the play and stuff the puck under her pads for the third Saints goal. Lydia Grauer, who made the outlet pass to Marchment and Brooke Webster assisted on the play.

The Saints finished with a 38-23 shot advantage in the win; the 41st at Appleton Arena for the nine seniors in the class of 2016: Megan Armstrong, Sydney Bell, Amanda Boulier, Kailee Heidersbach, Dominique Korakianitis, Victoria Leimgardt, Jenna Marks, Abbey McRae and Mikaela Thompson.

"It's always nice to win on senior day," Wells said. "We needed those two points to control where we were headed next week. Princeton is going to be a battle, but I think we match up well with them and it was a heck of game down there last weekend."

The Saints split the regular season series with the Tigers, winning 3-2 in November at Appleton and falling 4-3 in overtime last weekend in Princeton.

Game times for the quarterfinal series are still to be determined.
