St. Lawrence University's Divya Biswal was named the Outstanding Women's Field Event Performer of the Meet for the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships by the USTFCCCA.
Biswal was the top-scoring field event athlete in the meet a win in the triple jump and a fourth-place finish in the long jump.
After UW-La Crosse's Bria Halama took the lead on her fifth attempt in the triple jump by a single centimeter over Biswal, Biswal responded with a sixth and final jump that left no doubt as to who the champion would be. She leapt a 2014 Division III-best 40-11 (12.47m) to defeat Halama by more than eight inches.
In the long jump she managed just one legal attempt, but her mark of 18-10 (5.74m) stood for a fourth-place finish. For award consideration, she scored 18 points (15 team points plus three bonus points for the best in the nation jump).
