The nationally-ranked #19 St. Lawrence University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games Sunday afternoon, defeating SUNY Canton (8-6-0) 3-0 in a non-conference match-up. The Saints, now 9-1-2, were led by senior captain Andrew Bednarksy's two goals, while sophomore Morgan Smith added another. Junior goalkeeper Aaron Costello made one save on the day to improve to 9-0-2 and record his tenth shutout of the season.

After the Saints and Roos combined for 12 shots in the first half, St. Lawrence came alive and took control of the game. In the 48th minute, Andrew Bednarsky and Mark Provost worked some quick passing in the middle of the field before Bednarsky beat Canton's goalkeeper in the left corner. Five minutes later Bednarsky added his fifth score of the season off a set piece from the right sideline. The throw found Rob Brandell near the right post who headed it back where Bednarsky lined a shot that snuck just under the center of the crossbar.

In the 67th minute St. Lawrence added a third marker off a Roo turnover in the midfield. Seyefe Brouk played the ball up the middle to Morgan Smith who tore toward goal and hit a hard shot into the right corner for the 3-0 final.

The Saints held a 7-1 shots on goal edge in the contest. Canton's keeper Evan Drew stopped four shots in net.
