POTSDAM, N.Y. --The Potsdam women's lacrosse team will holding their "Stick it to Cancer" game against Buffalo State on April 27 at 1 p.m.
During that game as well as the men's home lacrosse contests against Brockport tomorrow afternoon and Oswego on Wednesday night, April 10, the team will be selling pink "Lax Socks" for $12 a pair. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Canton-Potsdam and Massena Memorial Hospitals. The funds will be used to assist with breast, uterine and ovarian cancer education as well as comfort and support initiatives for women of the North Country.
Along with the fundraising done by the lacrosse team, the Bears softball team will be in attendance on April 27, selling t-shirts. PACES Food Services will be running a concession stand at that contest as well.
The Buffalo State game also marks the Bears' final regular season game and will be the team's Senior Day. The Bears seven seniors will be honored before the start of the contest for their achievements at Potsdam.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow April 6, when they host the Brockport Golden Eagles in a SUNYAC contest at 11 a.m.
