Sydney Carlucci also assisted on the play. Ott answered with a power-play marker with seven seconds remaining in the period to send the game into the first intermission tied at one apiece. Potsdam took control in the second period. Ott gave the Bears the lead for good with her second goal just 1:30 into the middle stanza with assists from freshman defenseman Lucy Condon (Kitchner, Ontario/Waterloo Ravens) and Léonard. At 15:11, Ott added another power-play goal with helpers from junior forward Anna-Rose Bertin (Marathon, Ontario/CIH Academy) and Léonard. The Bears led 3-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Murray extended the lead to three at 12:44 of the third period with assists from senior captain Amanda Peterson (West Chazy, N.Y./Chazy Flyers) and Ott. Patterson added a fourth power-play-goal to close the scoring at 5-1 with just four seconds remaining.
