SUNY Potsdam Junior Alexander Taylor (Port Ewen, N.Y./Kingston) twice broke the record for the 100 meter breaststroke during the second day of SUNYAC compeition.
In preliminaries, he posted a 57.89 time which broke the previous record of 58.89. In the finals, he finished in first place with a time of 57.67 second.
Bears Junior Liz Ringer (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) broke the record in the 100 individual fly with a time of 1:10.06 breaking her own record of 1:01.62. She finished the race in 11th place.
The team of Ringer, Ghena Binzer (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker), Victoria Blakeslee (Gloversville, N.Y./Gloversville), and Laurrissa Coombs (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Ward Melville)broke the record in the team 200 meter medley. They finished with a time of 1:55.46 narrowly topping the previous mark of 1:55.48. The team finished in eight place.
