POTSDAM, N.Y. – After a strong weekend at the SUNYAC Championships, SUNY Potsdam senior swimmer Alexander Taylor now sits in the 35th spot on the NCAA performance list and will receive word on March 6 of admission to the NCAA Championships. Yesterday, Taylor was named to the All-SUNYAC first team for the second season in a row.
Taylor swam his way to two SUNYAC titles, a conference record, and several top Potsdam times throughout the competition. The senior successfully defended his 100 and 200 breaststroke titles on his way to a conference record in the 200 with a time of 2:05.48. This mark qualified Taylor for the NCAA B standard, which puts him in position to be selected to swim at the National Championships.
The NCAA DIII Swimming Championships will take place on March 20-23 at the Conroe Natatorium in Shenandoah, TX.
