POTSDAM, N.Y.- Freshman forward Olivia Seamans (Bolton Landing, N.Y./Bolton) led SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (4-1) to a 4-3 victory over Bard College (2-1-1) in double-overtime. Seamans scored three goals to complete the hat trick and sophomore midfielder Brooke Falsion (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) added one goal in the win.

The Raptors took the lead early after Bard midfielder Abbey Labrecque headed the ball across the goal line off a free kick from midfielder Isabel Keddy-Hector less than 15-minutes into the period. Just 15 minutes later, Labrecque found the back of the net again for the Raptors after a failed clear attempt by the Bears, but Potsdam responded with three goals in less than 10 minutes.

At 32:37, Falsion had a breakaway and found Seasmans in the middle of the field. Seamans fired past Bard keeper Shane Crowley to bring the Bears within one. Seamans answered again with a loft over Crowley's head from about 35-yard out to even the score at two apiece.

Seamans returned the favor to Falsion at the 41:52 mark with a pass down the left wing. Falsion controlled and sent the ball to the far post to beat Crowley one more time. The Raptors held the advantage in shots 4-8, but the Bears took the 3-2 lead into the break.

Each team had plenty of chances in the first 25 minutes into the second period, but Bard struck first. At 74:19, Raptor midfielder Gemma Godfrey beat three Bear defenders then crossed to forward Avalon Qian, who nailed it home to tie the game at 3-3. The team's offenses stalked following Bard's third goal with the Bears and the Raptors each only having one shot to end regulation.

Bard led the Bears in shots 3-1 in both overtime periods, but the Bears' lone shot was all it took. Less than six minutes into the second overtime, Seamans lofted a shot over the keeper's hands to take the 4-3 victory. The goal marked Seamans' fourth goal of the season.

Junior goalie Michaela Cole (Parishville, N.Y./Parishville) earned her first win of the season for the Bears with six saves in 71:24. Sophomore goalie Val Driscoll (Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown) allowed two goals and recorded one save in the opening 34:09. Crowley gave up three goals against the Bears with two saves in 72:56 before keeper Kelsey O'Brien came in to close out the game.

Bard held the advantage in shots 20-10 and in corner kicks 3-1.

The Bears are back in action Wednesday when Potsdam travels to cross-town rival SUNY Canton to take on the Roos at 7 p.m.
