POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's hockey team will its second annual Military Appreciation Night during its Nov. 21 contest with SUNY Canton.
All veterans, active duty personnel, National Guard and reservists will receive free admission to the contest. The Watertown Vet Center will have a table near the rink entrance to distribute information on services provided to veterans. A veteran student from SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton will drop the puck in a pregame ceremony.
The Bears appreciate the sacrifices of the men and women of the armed services and have built a close relationship with the ROTC in recent seasons. The College as a whole was also recently honored again by Victory Media and named a Military-Friendly School in G.I. Jobs magazine.
The puck drops on the growing rivalry with the Kangaroos at 7 p.m.
