DANSBURY, CONN.—Sophomore guard Danny Delsol-Lowry (Queens, N.Y./Queens High School of Teaching) scored a contest best 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the SUNY Potsdam men's basketball team (5-5) rallied for an 81-72 win at Western Connecticut State (5-5) on Thursday evening. Juniors Nosa Onabor (Brooklyn, N.Y./Northside Charter) and Dante Langley (Schuylerville, N.Y./Schuylerville) also hit double digits with 14 and 13 points, respectively and also hauled in seven boards apiece. Freshman forward Dante Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) matched a career-high with 13 points and recorded a personal best six rebounds.

Potsdam opened the contest on a 14-7 run over the first five minutes. Five different Bears scored during the stretch including threes from Langley and Onabor. The Colonials answered with a 16-7 run to capture their first lead of the game at 23-21 with 6:27 left in the half. Tyler Rowe led the WCS charge with nine points on three 3-pointers. Onabor hit a three to put Potsdam back in front at 24-23 and Langley converted a three-point play at 4:07 to give the Bears their final lead of the half at 27-26. Potsdam started the second half with a 13-7 run over the first 3:20 to even the game at 44-44. Delsol-Lowry scored seven of the points for the Bears and punctuated the run with a three. WCS quickly regained a 50-44 lead and nearly as quickly Potsdam countered with an 9-1 run, including four from junior forward Serigne Kane (Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Prep), to take a 53-51 lead at 13:06. The next eight minutes were marked by sharp spurts from the Colonials and Potsdam rallying to tie the score. With 4:45 remaining, Delsol-Lowry drained a three to knot the score at 70-70. Potsdam never trailed again. A 15-0 run made it 81-70 at the 1:16 mark. WCS got one final basket before the Bears' defense closed out the 81-72 win.

Kane and sophomore center Kristoff Saunders (Queens, N.Y./Queens High School of Teaching) each scored eight on the night.

Rowe paced the Colonials with 18 points and four assists. Rashard Rodriguez scored 14 and collected eight rebounds, while Curtin finished with 12.
