BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam golf team finished seventh at the Fall Empire 8 Championships. The Bears posted a two-round score of 708. Oswego State capture the tournament title with a total of 597. Junior Devin Caples (Wilton, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) led Potsdam with rounds of 83 and 87 for a score of 170.
Senior Andrew Scuncio (Essex, Conn./Pittsford-Mendon) was next for the Bears with a 176 (91, 85). He was followed by junior Vinny Guimond (Sorel-Tracy, Quebec/Rice Memorial Prep) who shot at 179 (89, 90). Junior Dylan Estal (DeWitt, Iowa/South Jefferson) and freshman Jack Corcoran (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) rounded out the group with 184 (87, 87) and 189 (100, 89), respectively.
Potsdam heads to the SUNY Canton Invitational on Friday. The tournament kicks off at 1 p.m.
