Potsdam sophomore John Hickey finished second overall with a 78, falling just short of the individual title in a two-hole playoff. St. Lawrence was third with a 344. SUNY ESF was fourth with a 347 and Canton's B team rounded out the competitors with a 361.
Senior Harrison Davenport was fourth with a round of 80 and sophomore Kevin Doherty was just a stroke behind to tie for fifth place. Merriman's 83 was five strokes ahead of Canton's fifth finisher Nolan Reid to give the Bears the tiebreaker.
Potsdam will enter postseason play next Saturday, Oct. 5 at the ECAC Qualifier in Macedon, N.Y.
