POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam softball team is selling pink t-shirts to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. The Bears will also honor cancer victims and survivors during their April 27 doubleheader with Buffalo State.

The team will be selling the t-shirts at Barrington Student Union the week of the April 27. T-shirts can also be purchased from the players directly. All the proceeds will be donated to Canton-Potsdam Hospital's Center for Cancer Care.

Former Bear pitcher Katie Nawrot '12 and her mother Lynne, a cancer survivor, will throw out the first pitches against the Bengals. Buffalo State lost its long time head coach, Sandy Hollander, to cancer last spring. Both teams will be wearing pink wristbands during the contests.

Potsdam is back in action tomorrow afternoon as the Bears travel to Clinton, N.Y. for a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader against Hamilton College.
