CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam cross country teams competed at the SLU Hoffman Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon. The men finished 9th and the women placed 7th on the day.
Freshman Hannah Groshner led the Potsdam women, finishing with a time of 26:16.3. Freshman Olivia Rehm completed the course in 27:13.7. Freshman Sarah Howe and junior Sara Behuniak rounded out the top four in 30:53.6 and 34:05.1, respectively.
Junior John Stone paced the men with a time of 31:09.06. Junior Dalijah Demand and sophomore Joseph Rafter were the next two Potsdam finishers in 31:49.82 and 32:04.22. Junior James Burton crossed the line in 32:55.87 and sophomore Jonathan Doane closed out the top five with a time of 33:12.93.
The Bears are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 13 when they travel to Geneva, N.Y. for the Cross Country Only Championships.
