MIDDLEBURY, VT – The SUNY Potsdam golf team placed 22nd at the Duke Nelson Invitational over the weekend. RPI won the competition with a two-day score of 607, while the Bears finished with 672. Potsdam finished Day One with a team score of 335 and Day Two with 337.
Freshman Conor Talty led Potsdam with an overall score of 166, shooting an 87 and a 79. Freshman John Hickey and senior Matt Supernault tied with a final score of 169. Hickey shot a low round of 82, while Supernault posted a low of 84. Senior Andrew Holmes and sophomore Austin Pivetta rounded out the team with 172 and 173, respectively.
The Bears return to action Monday, Sept. 17 at the Oswego State Fall Invitational hosted by Oswego. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
