St. Lawrence University first-year student Blaine Ayotte earned All-America honors in the U-20 Division at Junior Nationals last week at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT.
Ayotte finished 10th overall in the 10k Classic, earning the final All-America slot for the event. Meanwhile, teammates Calvin Swomley and Erin Perryman also raced at Junior Nationals, each earning top-20 finishes. Swomley was 14th in the 15k Freestyle Mass Start and 20th in the 10K Classic, while Perryman finished 13th in the U-20 Classic Sprints and 17th in the 5k Classic.
"It was great to have all three student-athletes representing the program at junior nationals, especially having qualified on the very deep New England team," said St. Lawrence head Nordic coach Ethan Townsend. "It really bodes well for our program's future."

Meanwhile, St. Lawrence University sophomore Nordic skier Kyle Curry was victorious in the Lake Placid Loppet 25K Freestyle race. Curry defeated the field by nearly three minutes, posting the impressive win on Saturday, March 8.
