Tapshak Augustine scored two goals, and Noah Bunton and Charlton Kelly also scored to lead the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Union in a Liberty League match in Schenectady, N.Y., on Friday afternoon.

It was a dominant effort for St. Lawrence, as they outshot Union 21-6 overall and held a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal as well as an 8-4 margin in corner kicks.

The Saints improved to 10-2 overall and 3-2 against conference opponents and moved into third place in the Liberty League standings heading into Saturday's match at RPI. Union falls to 8-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Liberty League.

Bunton opened the scoring in the sixth minute for the Saints when he converted his third penalty of the year for his fourth goal.

Augustine extended the lead to 2-0 in the 33rd minute off a pass from Christian Barral-Arteta, snapping a six-game goal drought for the Abuja, Nigeria native.

The Dutchmen got on the board and cut the deficit to one in the 49th minute, besting St. Lawrence goalkeeper Mike Smith, but that would be all the Syracuse, N.Y., native would give up on Friday afternoon. Augustine and Kelly scored goals just 16 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the game to give the Saints a 4-1 cushion. It is the second multi-goal game of the season for Augustine, while Kelly's goal set up by classmate Brendan McNamee is his second of the season. He also snapped a considerable goal drought on Friday afternoon, notching his first since Sept. 9.

Union's Jonathan Graziosi made five saves in the loss. Smith did not record a save on Friday for the Saints.

St. Lawrence will finish their road trip at RPI on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
