Junior Carter Armstrong posted his fourth consecutive EISA top-15 finish in just four races to lead the St. Lawrence University Alpine Ski team in the slalom on day two of the University of New Hampshire Carnival at Cannon Mountain in Mittersill, New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
Armstrong skied the eighth fastest first run of the day and finished the men's slalom with a final time of one minute and 47.81 seconds, earning 10th place and 31 points for the Scarlet and Brown.
Jake VanDeursen also posted an EISA top-15 finish after finishing in 14th-place with a time of 1:48.49. First-year Brian Seltzer posted a 22nd-place finish and earned his first collegiate NCAA points (9), helping the men's squad to their third-place finish.
Riley Whitney led the women's squad, matching her season-best performance, with a 23rd-place finish in the slalom in 1:58.94 to earn 22 points. Tarrah Price posted the next-best result for the Saints for the second day in a row in 30th place.
After day two, the Saints' men's squad finished third, while the women finished the slalom in eighth place. Combined with the Nordic team's scores the Saints finished the UNH carnival in seventh place, while Dartmouth, UVM and Middlebury took home the top three spots.
