Johnson City, NY – Sam Annorh (Queens, NY) scored the game-winner with 26 seconds remaining and the Roos came up with two big defensive stops down the stretch as the men's basketball team defeated host Davis College, 75-74, on Saturday evening.
SUNY Canton used a strong effort to come away with the victory as they committed just 11 turnovers in the game while forcing the hosts to give up the ball 19 times including 13 SUNY Canton steals.
The turnover differential led the Roos to get off 16 more shot attempts in the game and they made a living at the free throw line, hitting on 18 of their 22 attempts. Despite getting outrebounded 47-40, SUNY Canton held a 15-11 edge on the offensive glass.
The men's basketball team is back in action on Sunday, November 30th when they travel to take on D'Youville College at 4:00 p.m.
