The Rochester Americans have announced that the team has signed two-time Clarkson University Hockey MVP Allan McPherson to a one-year, two-way American Hockey League contract.
McPherson, 23, appeared in five AHL games and recorded one assist with the Abbotsford Heat last season after completing his collegiate career at Clarkson University. In four seasons at Clarkson, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, registered 103 points (41+62) and 88 penalty minutes in 150 games. Last season, McPherson led the Golden Knights in scoring with a career-high 32 points (13+19) in 42 games.
