The St. Lawrence volleyball team is headed to the lone star state this week during the University's mid-semester break. The Saints will compete in four matches in Dallas, TX beginning on Friday, October 14, and senior Ali Limoncelli will provide a blog throughout the team's trip.
The Scarlet and Brown, who enter their Dallas trip with a 15-8 overall record, will take on Dallas Christian College and Austin College on Friday afternoon. Head coach Shelly Roiger's squad with follow with matches against the University of Dallas and Southwestern Christian College on Saturday morning before returning to Canton, NY.
"I think this experience will be truly special for our team," said Coach Roiger. "Not only will we have the opportunity to travel to a beautiful city, but we will be doing some volunteer work before facing outstanding tests on the volleyball court."
The Saints will fly to Texas tonight and will volunteer with Habitat for Humanity on Thursday morning. Following St. Lawrence's Friday night matches, the Saints will have a "meet and greet" with St. Lawrence Alumni living in the Dallas area at the Maher Athletic Center.
