The nationally-ranked #6 St. Lawrence University men's squash team knocked off #5 Rochester, 6-3, in the 2013 Liberty League Championship match, claiming its first conference crown since the 2006-07 season. First-year student Moustafa Bayoumy clinched the match in the two spot, defeating 10th ranked Faraz Khan in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

The Saints, who improve to 4-0, handed the Yellowjackets (5-1) their first loss of the season which also ended Rochester's six-year run as Liberty League champions.

Rochester's Ryosei Kobayashi gave his team an early 1-0 lead as he beat Ibrahim Khan 3-0 at three (11-5, 11-8, 11-5). The next four matches, however, ended in St. Lawrence's favor, giving the Saints a 4-1 advantage. First, Mateo Vargas defeated Christian Riedelsheimer at nine, 3-0 (11-6, 11-6, 12-10).

At six, Sebastian Riedelsheimer won the first game, 11-3, but Rochester's Karm Kumar battled back to take the next two (12-10, 11-9) and the 2-1 lead. Riedelsheimer buckled down and tied the score at 2-2 with an 11-4 game four win before prevailing in the fifth and decisive game, 11-8, to give the Saints the 2-1 lead.
