Nationally fifth-ranked Bowdoin College raced to a 9-0 lead and went on to post a 14-3 NCAA Division III college women's lacrosse victory over St. Lawrence in Bradenton, FL on Tuesday.
Bowdoin improved to 6-0 with the win while the Saints are now 1-2 heading into a Wednesday game against Fredonia.
Emma Beecher scored four goals and Megan O'Connor three for Bowdoin, which had a 7-0 halftime lead. The Polar Bears outshot the Saints 34-13, won 14 of 19 draws and scored five free position goals.
Michaela Maybee, Julia Mitiguy and Chloe Knapp scored the Saint goals, all unassisted.
Adden Cunningham had nine saves on 22 shots in 42 minutes while Cricket Wemyss stopped five of six shots in the final 17:28.
