Andie Anastos snapped a 1-1 tie with her third goal of the season at 12:47 of the third period to send second-ranked Boston College to a 2-1 women's college hockey victory over St. Lawrence at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill on Saturday.

The Eagles improved to 3-0 with the win and swept the Saints, now 1-5 after four straight games against teams ranked in the top three nationally.

It didn't come easy for the Eagles as the Saints had a 33-32 edge in shots on goal in an evenly-played game.

The two teams played a scoreless first period and BC jumped out to the lead 3:46 into the second when Emily Field scored her first of the season, tucking the puck past Saint goalie Giulia Mazzocchi with assists from Emily Pfalzer and Haley McLeary. The Saints came right back to tie it on the power play as Dayle Wilkinson scored her second of the season from Alex Moore and Mel Desrochers at 11:11.

Anastos provided the game winner for the Eagles, scoring unassisted for the only goal of the third period.

Mazzocchi turned in a strong effort in goal for the Saints with 30 saves while Corinne Boyles made 32 stops for Boston College. The Saints were one for seven on the power play and held BC scoreless in four attempts.

The Saints have an open weekend coming up and will open ECAC league play with games at Colgate and Cornell on Oct. 25-26.
