POTSDAM -- Potsdam police said they charged a man with aggravated driving while intoxicated after he was found passed out in the driver's seat of a vehicle that was running and in reverse.

Steven J. Stravinski, 70, Tenafly, N.J. was charged with aggravated DWI and unsafe backing at 9:26 p.m. on Market Street, officers said.

He was reportedly transported to the Potsdam Police Department where a breathalyzer test revealed a blood-alcohol content (BAC) of .23 percent.

Stravinski is to appear in Potsdam court Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m. to answer the charges, polices said.
