Three DWIs, drug and pot possession cases investigated by troopers

State police investigated three driving while intoxicated cases and drug and pot possession cases Friday and early Saturday.

Stephen S. Grant, 32, Norfolk, was reportedly held in custody after being charged by state police Friday at 10:40 a.m. along State Rt. 56 in Norfolk with driving using a portable electronic device, and two misdemeanors, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Paul G. Savage, 39, N. Lawrence, was issued tickets by state police for alleged failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated at 10:45 p.m. Friday along State Rt. 11C in Lawrence.

Sloan P. Gleason, 25, Massena, was issued appearance ticket by state police at 1:15 a.m. Saturday alleging he was driving while intoxicated and illegally signaled a turn along State Rt. 37 in the Village of Massena.

Maryanne Carroll, 58, Ogdensburg, was issued tickets alleging she was driving while intoxicated and refused to take a breath test. Troopers stopped her in Massena at 7:23 p.m. Friday.

Nathan C. Yamrick, 19, Tupper Lake, was charged by state police with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right at 3 p.m. Friday along State Rt. 56 in Potsdam. He was issued appearance tickets.
