CANTON – A routine traffic stop for failure to keep right resulted in felony drug charges for a Chase Mills man at 8:34 p.m. Monday, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies.
Kyle M. McDonald, 24, was pulled over on U.S. Rt. 11 when sheriff's K-9 Hershey alerted deputies there were drugs in the vehicle.
Deputies say a search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and oxycontin pills.
McDonald was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right.
He was arraigned before Canton Town Justice O'Horo and released to probation.
Agencies assisting in the investigation were Canton Village Police and Gouverneur Police Departments.
