Russell resident accused of using stolen tax ID card

RUSSELL -- A 44-year-old Russell resident was charged by St. Lawrence County Sheriff deputies for allegedly making purchases using a stolen tax ID card.

Tammy M. Mackin of 3744 County Rte. 24 is charged with one misdemeanor count each of making a false written statement, second-degree falsifying business records and petit larceny.

Deputies said she used a stolen tax Id card to make purchases at Potsdam Wal-Mart.

She was arraigned in Potsdam Town Court and released on her own recognizance to re-appear on a later date.
