Rooseveltown woman accused of driving while ability impaired by drugs in Potsdam

POTSDAM -- A Rooseveltown woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a traffic stop on Pleasant Street Thursday morning, according to Potsdam police.

Police say they charged Corey V. Thompson, 21, was charged with first-offense DWI, seventh-degree criminal posession of a controlled substance and driving the wrong way on a one way street, officers said.

She was charged at 9:31 a.m. after police observed him driving the wrong way on Pleasant Street. Thompson was found to be in possession of Adderall and did not have a prescription for it, police said.

She was issued appearance tickets and released, officers said.
