Richville man arrested for unlawfully entering residence, causing damage, stricking person in head in Hermon

HERMON — A Richville man was charged Tuesday following a Sept. 8 complaint of a person who unlawfully entered a residence, caused damage to property and struck a person in the side of the head, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Stephen W. Luther Jr., 43, was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief, officers said.

Luther allegedly unlawfully entered a residence that was not his own, Luther also intentionally damaged property that was not his own, and struck a person with an open hand on the side of the head, deputies said.

He was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in Town of Hermon court at a later date.
