DEKALB – A Rensselaer Falls man is charged with a felony and a misdemeanor in connection with a case of alleged harassment received by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office April 3.
On that date deputies received a complaint of a dispute between a 41-year-old female and Phillip Rolfe, 39.
Their investigation led deputies to charge Rolfe with aggravated family offense, a Class E felony, and fourth-degree stalking, a Class B misdemeanor.
Deputies allege that Rolfe repeatedly placed harassing telephone calls and text messages to the female during March after being warned by deputies to cease his actions.
Rolf was arraigned in Oswegatchie Town Court by Judge Hebert on April 12 and remanded to the county jail on $1,500 cash bail.
The judge issued a no-contact order of protection for the victim.
