Potsdam resident charged with driving on suspended license

POTSDAM -- A Potsdam resident was charged with driving on a suspended license on Clarkson Avenue Sunday night, according to Potsdam police.

Audah S. Abuzaid, 20, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:01 p.m., officers said.

Police say they observed Abuzaid operating a vehicle that passed through a posted stop sign at the end of Clarkson Access Road where it intersects with Clarkson Avenue.

Following a traffic stop police discovered that Abuzaid was driving on a suspended license and the subject was charged, police said.

Abuzaid is to appear in Potsdam Village Court Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m., officers said.
