To the person who wrote “Murderer on the Loose in Potsdam” (Feb. 13 -19): The sarcastic Sound Off talks about police not putting their time and effort into trying to solve a murder. You obviously are not familiar with law enforcement. Law enforcement takes time, that is, if you want to do everything the right way. One little detail forgotten and a case can be compromised. So I hope you realize that the police are doing everything they can and unfortunately can’t stop enforcing other laws just because one crime has not been solved. If that were the case, nothing would get done.
