Amanda E. Gilbert, 30, of Potsdam was charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, uninspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic device and driving while intoxicated. Witnesses stated that they observed the vehicle turn onto Walnut Street in the opposite lane of travel. The listed subject admitted that she was texting, causing her to crash into the tree. She also admitted to have been drinking alcohol throughout the night. 

Matthew A. Hayward, 21, Edgewater, MD, was charged with littering at 3:06 a.m. on Market and Main Street. Patrols found a mug in the cup holder, tested and found it to be alcohol. The vehicle was also found to have an expired inspection.

Brandon T. Bresett, 19, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 6:09 a.m. at Market Square Mall.

Tyler J. Burns, 27, Potsdam was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 6:09 a.m. the Market Square Mall.
