Potsdam, Brasher Falls drivers charged with drug and vehicle offenses

People from Potsdam and Brasher Falls were charged by state police with drug and vehicle offenses Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Marah S. Butterfield, 27, Potsdam, was charged by troopers with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors, and controlled substance in non-original container, no inspection, and unregistered vehicle, along Flat Rock Road in Potsdam Saturday night. She was released at 10:35 p.m. after issuance of the tickets.

Justin E. Bruce, 30, Brasher Falls, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, at 12:40 a.m. today along Furnace Street east of High Street in Norfolk. He was issued appearance tickets.
