We truly live in a police state up here in the North Country. When you live in a small hamlet and see one to five police cars a day…it is a bit much. With budget cuts everywhere why aren't we cutting some of the patrol budgets? The press keeps us in fear so we justify this under homeland security? Most of their activity is terrorizing local residents by petty traffic stops and tickets. Albany needs to look at the real stats that all these cops are generating to see if the ends really justify the means. How many roadblocks have you been in over the past few years?
