OGDENSBURG -- Two Ogdensburg men face multiple charges following a search warrant execution Friday.
Ogdensburg police charged Michael D. Wells, 29, of 112 Cherry Street with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of hypodermic needles.
Because Wells is currently on parole, he was sent back to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
Also charged following the investigation was Scott G. Wells, 26, of the same address.
Scott was not home during the search, but was later located and charged with criminal possession of a .38 semi-automatic handgun.
Police say he does not hold a valid permit for the gun.
Scott was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
Ogdensburg Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force with members from The St. Lawrence County Sherriff’s Office and the Gouverneur Police Department, and also assisted by the Unites States Border Patrol. The investigation is continuing.
