State troopers say they've charged a Norfolk man in connection with a stolen scrap metal case where a Massena man is already facing a felony charge.
Kerry A. Baker, 46, of Norfolk was charged Thursday with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
He was charged at 841 County Rte. 38, Norfolk and was released with orders to appear in Madrid Town Court on Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
Troopers said Baker assisted Adam W. Baxter, 35, of Massena with stealing scrap metal from a salvage yard in Lousville on Sept. 1.
On Sept. 3, they charged Baxter with felony fourth-degree grand larceny and single misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree trespass.
Troopers said the scrap yard owner witnessed Baxter flee from the alleged theft with a truck full of stolen scrap metal. The truck got stuck, and Baxter ran away on foot.
