LOUISVILLE – A Norfolk man was sent to county jail Wednesday after he was arrested for aggravated drunk driving on an ATV on a county highway, according to state police.
Kenrick J. Arno, 52, 1222 County Rt. 36, Norfolk, was charged with aggravated DWI, unlawful operation of an ATV on a highway, unregistered ATV, operating without insurance, stopping on a public highway and no lights at 10:45 p.m. on County Rt. 36.
State police say Arno was observed sitting on his ATV on the shoulder of the road in Louisville, and he admitted to police he had been driving it when it broke down.
Police detected alcohol on Arno's breath and a breathalyzer test revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .20 percent, well over the .08 percent legal limit and above the .18 percent threshold for aggravated DWI.
He was arraigned in Madrid Town Court by Judge Appleby and was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Louisville Town Court on March 7.
