New Jersey man charged with possessing drugs, weapon following Massena traffic stop

MASSENA -- Village police say a traffic stop ended in drug and weapons charges against a New Jersey man.

Juan D. Jones, 49, of Fairmount Avenue, Elizabeth, N.J. was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors, as well as failure to signal and uninspected motor vehicle, police said.

He was arraigned by Massena judge Eric Gustafson and released after posting $200 bail, police said.
